What routines has everyone learned? Especially interested in seeing which ones other Portland people learned, so that it might be a bit easier to do para together and all.

My routines... <3Collapse )

I also know a crapload of incomplete routines... like Rock Me To The Top, Play With The Numbers, Don't Wanna Lose You Baby ETC ETC I can't list them all, ha <small(x-posted to my lj) Also I'm going really crazy and want to perform, para with others or teach people para routines :( ANYONE?

Para-Para Hits the US!!!
Hey everyone!

I just saw this on the ParaParaMax site!!! I want to meet other people who para! To me Para isn't the kind of dance that's fun to do at home in the dark (nor is any kind of dancing ^^; ). So as an excuse I hadn't done para in a few months for that reason. But If I could meet other's and teach other's who want to learn then it would be great! (^O^)

Check it out!!! ^_^

So yeah, I'm gonna say a few things
1. THIS SATURDAY WE WILL BE DOING PARA AT PETE'S! People who are interested, mark yo calendars and comment; we need to discuss further details (or something)!

2. What I've been doing lately for para is focusing on the Para Para Paradise 1 video, one large reason being that I need to learn the game routines, anyway o-o maybe we can do learn some dances from that video to do them together... lol

3. I'm going to Sakuracon in March and am gonna promote para with a little workshop panel thing and I'm really interested in PERFORMING! I'm seeking someone who can do a para dance performance with me. I would love to have two people join me, but one's good enough if that's all I can get. The only thing I'm asking for is to be able to practice lots together, so that might not be doable for people who are too far out of town. :( Thanks!

4. Still up for Yoko Ishida on January 7th in Seattle, and I'll have para videos soon. :D

What: Para para!

We compiled a list of songs that we should try to learn prior to the get together :P

quick question!

Does anyone have the rules for the parapara touny at illuzionz waaaayyy back in 2002? [was it 2002, or 2003? it was such along time ago] I am going to be planning a parapara touny soon, and i would like to use it as a grid, because i've never planned a parapara touny yet.

i got a hold of Derick and asked him about it, and he forgot how he did it >___<

It would be SUPER HELPFUL if you guys can give meeh some info or whatever. I really need get to planning this >>';

Hey Eurobeat Lovers
Pete, the founder of this community (aka diskozombie, kidwhatever, etc.) has started
"A New Wave Of Underground Hyper Eurodance", a label named Diskowarp.

DISKOWARP: new underground label mixing Trash/Cheap/Gameboy Punk/Electropop and Girly Hyper Eurobeat (!?!?!)

He has released Diskowarp's first song, called "Less Than Three". (<3!!) You can listen to it at myspace.com/diskowarp, along with a remix by Ricardo Autobahn (Spray / Spacekats / Rikki & Daz).

They also have a website, diskowarp.com. Support his stuff! :) <3

P.S. Para Para promo video for Less Than Three coming soon!

Planning Portland Para get together!
This community's pretty dead, this got x-posted to mine and
Pete's (kidwhatever) ljs, but I'll post it here too, just in case:

Phweesha and I want to do a para para get together really badly.

Who's down?

We figured we'd pick a list of routines to do right now so everybody can learn / brush up / practice / whatever, and then we'll sort out a date/time/place to get together later (maybe in a few weeks?). This will prevent what happened last time, which was people coming over to my house, everybody knowing different routines, and most people just watching me :X

Here's what we picked out:
John Desire - Hot Limit (Happy Paradise)
Judy Crystal - Nori Nori Nori (Happy Paradise)
Coo Coo - Upside Down (Happy Paradise)
Dave Simon - I Need Your Love (SEB 150)
Dave McCloud - Mikado (PPP 2)
Ace - Fighting Over Freedom (?)
Lisa Johnson - Paradise (PPP 7)
Dusty - Solid Gold (PPP 5)
Mega NRG Man - Express Love (PPP 6)
Sheila & Cindy Cooper - Touch Me (Para Para Panic 3)

I'll gladly hook anybody up with whatever vids they need

Alrighty, so... I was thinking of trying to do another para para get-together thing soon, so I want to know what you Portland peeps think. This is going to be a little bit different.

1) Nicole has offered to let us do this at her house, since she has TONS of room.

2) Rather than just have a chaotic free-for-all like we did last time at my studio, I'm thinking we should pick like 3 or 4 routines like a couple weeks ahead of time for everybody to learn on their own, and then get together and do 'em. I can give everybody the videos to watch, and if you're Aelinn and you don't have a computer, I can make something you can watch on your DVD player :)

also, doesn't Jason need to join this??

Alas, no computer lives with me. :(

la la la totally bored
Last night I finally learned the last few dances on Para Para Paradise 2, and now I know the whole thing. Woo. "Crazy For Love" has always eluded me, the hand spinny things are really hard! I think I finally have it down ok. Also, "Take Me Now". Great song, horrible dance. Between the crotch-touching, the "I have gas so don't stand over there" shuffle, and that really awkwardly-timed hand move at the end of the Sabi, that is totally my all time worst-routine. UGH.

There is going to be a talent show at my school, and me and a few freinds are going to do a parapara routine. My problem is that they have no experence in parapara and i am not sure what would be a really cool routine to show the school.

Any one have suggestions for easy routines that look really cool and would impress my school? (ha i rhymed.) Suggestions are very much apprecated.

Thank you. <3

Hey! As far as I can tell, the only other nwparapara member I know is Pete, so I figure I should introduce myself.

Hi, my name is Aelinn, and I'm a nerd. I even work in a MATH LAB. Yep, even my job is nerdtacular!

I'll be at Pete's on wednesday. I am definitely looking forward to working on my para para repertoire, since right now it consists of part of Ashita Ga Arusa, part of Fantasy (by Virginelle) and a very small part of Mikado.

I'm Phylicia. I love eurobeat, gettin' into para para. I've learned 3 routines so far... just finished learning Joo Joo tonight (with the vids Pete hooked me up with :D). Well, I don't know what else to say, except I've been into DDR and Bemani, so I'm not a complete stranger in that community, if that helps.

Hope to see this community get a little more busy, and I'll try to show up at Pete's get together on Wednesday, so I look forward to meeting paralists.

Okay. .... </lameintro>
1:14 pm
sooo... parapara...
Sooo for meeting up for parapara on Wednesday... just thought I would post a list of stuff we want to work on

virginelle - fantasy (NOT evil *fantasy* by melissa!)
dave mccloud - mikado (another one we were working on last week)
danela - extra lover (phylicia learned this so.. looks like i better learn it too, huh?)
judy crystal - nori nori nori (aelinn wants to learn this.. it's fun and easy)

I will be in Seattle the from the 25th or 27th (I haven't decided) until probably the 2nd.

I would love it if we could all arrange for a big get together at IZ (where there's lots of room to parapara)

:: work boredom again ::
ok, I finally sat and re-learned Money Go!. I hadn't done it in forever since we don't have the arcade game down here, and it's not on any of the video series. I'm pretty confident I could do it now at the arcade... damn that routine is hard! I know they were just sitting there like "ok, let's make one that doesn't make ANY SENSE and doesn't repeat anything!!! it'll be FUN!!"
